Photobook Critique Workshop with Daniel Boetker-Smith

Calling all WA Photographers and Photobook makers!

PCP is excited to invite you to participate in a photobook workshop with special guest and 2017 CLIP Award Judge, Daniel Boetker-Smith.

Daniel is the Course Director at Photography Studies College (Melbourne), Founder of the Asia-Pacific Photobook Archive, and Managing Editor of Photofile magazine.

During his visit to Perth to announce the winner of the CLIP Award, and launch the new issue of Photofile (#99), Daniel will also be conducting a workshop for local photographers and photobook makers on Friday 24th March.

This workshop is designed for photographers/artists who have either:

  • A previously published/self-published book they would like a critique of;
  • A physical book dummy that they would like to self-publish or publish;
  • A PDF of a book they would to take to the next stage;
  • A substantial body of images/a project (may be a work-in-progress) they would like to turn into a book;

All participants for the workshop will be required to bring a hard copy (printed) version of one of the above.

Any topic, subject matter, process, or approach is welcomed and the notion of the ‘book object’ interpreted in its most traditional or its most experimental form is also welcomed.
